Dros yr wythnosau diwethaf mae grŵp Saesneg Mr Kimberley wedi bod yn astudio hanes Cwm Tryweryn, pentref bychan yng ngogledd Cymru cafodd ei foddi gan ddinas Lerpwl dros 50 mlynedd yn ôl. Ddoe cafodd y dosbarth y fraint o groesawu Eurgain Prysor, o’n o hen drigolion y cwm i’r dosbarth. Fe wnaeth Eurgain adrodd fwy o’r hanes i’r dysgwyr a dangos eitemau a lluniau roedd hi wedi ei chadw o’i hamser yn byw yn y cwm. Roedd yn brofiad gwych i’r plant ac rydym fel ysgol yn ddiolchgar iawn i Eurgain am ddod i adrodd i’w hanes!
Over the past few weeks Mr Kimberley’s English group have been studying the history of Cwm Tryweryn, a small village in north Wales that got tragically drowned by the city of Liverpool over 50 years ago. Yesterday the group had the pleasure of welcoming Eurgain Prysor, a former resident of the village to the class. Eurgain shared more of the history with the children and also showed some old memorabilia’s and photo she had kept from her time living in the village. It was a fantastic experience for the children who thoroughly enjoyed and as a school we would like to thank Eurgain for coming to talk to the children.
