Fel ‘rydych yn ymwybodol o ebost a dderbynioch ddiwedd y tymor, nid oes posib i Mr Andrew Evans, pennaeth newydd yr ysgol gychwyn ar y swydd yn syth, felly gwnaed trefniadau yn ystod y dyddiau olaf cyn yr haf i fi gynorthwyo’r Uwch Dim Rheoli i redeg yr ysgol tan bydd Mr Evans yn cychwyn, tra’n parhau yn bennaeth ar Ysgol Plas Coch. Fel y gwyr nifer ohonoch, bûm yn bennaeth ar Fro Alun am ddeng mlynedd rhwng 2013 a 2023 pan oedd yr ysgol mewn ffederasiwn efo Plas Coch. Mae’n braf cael bod nôl yma a rwy’n edrych ymlaen i gydweithio efo’r staff, rhieni a disgyblion yn ystod yr hanner tymor nesaf. Unwaith y bydd efo ni gadarnhad o ddyddiad cychwyn Mr Evans, byddaf yn gadael i chi wybod. Fe fydd Mr Evans yn treulio ychydig o amser yn yr ysgol dros yr wythnosau nesaf cyn cychwyn yn swyddogol. Hoffwn ddiolch yn fawr iawn i Mrs Helen Oldfield am ei gwaith fel pennaeth ar ysgol dros y dair mlynedd diwethaf a hefyd i Mrs Awel Watson-Smyth fel dirprwy ar yr ysgol ers 2013. Gofynaf am eich amynedd a dealltwriaeth wrth i Miss Sioned Hughes gychwyn ar ei swydd fel dirprwy a minnau fel pennaeth dros dro wrth i ni setlo i’n rolau a hefyd wrth i fynediad gael ei drefnu i ni i wahanol systemau yr ysgol, gan gynnwys yr ebyst; rydw i yn gobeithio gallu bod mewn sefyllfa i fedru cael mynediad at ebyst ac ymtaeb iddynt os oes angen cyn gynted a phosib.
I hope everyone is well and have enjoyed the summer holidays. As you are aware from the message you received at the end of last term, Mr Andrew Evans, the school’s new head teacher is not able to start at the school straight away, so arrangements were made during the last few days of term for myself to support the Senior Leadership Team in running the school until Mr Evans is able to start, while continuing in my duties as head teacher at Ysgol Plas Coch. As a lot of you are aware, I was head teacher here between 2013 and 2023 when the school was federated with Plas Coch. It’s nice to be back and I look forward to working with staff, pupils and parents during the next half term. Once we have confirmation of Mr Evans’ start date, we will let you know; Mr Evans will be spending a few days at the school over the next few weeks as part of the transition. I’d like to thank Mrs Helen Oldfield for her work as head teacher over the last three years and also Mrs Awel Watson-Smyth as the deputy since 2013. I’d appreciate your patience and understanding as Miss Sioned Hughes starts on her role as the school’s deputy head and myself as the temporary head teacher as we settle into our roles and as arrangements are made for us to get access to the school’s systems, including emails: I hope to be able to get access to emails and respond if needed asap.
