Agor ar ol wythnos hanner tymor / Opening after half term week

Gobeithio fod pawb yn cadw’n iach, diogel a wedi gallu mwynhau yr wythnos hanner tymor. Dyma ychydig o wybodaeth wrth i ni gychwyn ar ail hanner tymor y flwyddyn:

  • Bydd yr ysgol yn ail agor ar gyfer pawb yfory, dydd Llun Tachwedd 2il
  • Gan fod y gwaith adeiladu yn parhau ac debygol o bara am y rhan fwyaf o’r hanner tymor nesaf, bydd y trefniadau gollwng a chasglu yn aros yr un fath a’r hanner tymor diwethaf. Os bydd unrhyw newidiadau i’r trefniadau, byddwn yn gadael i chi wybod.

Rydym yn ymwybodol fod y gwaith adeiladau yn gwneud pethau’n anodd o ran trefniadau gollwng a chasglu, gyda dim ond un mynedfa mewn ac allan o’r ysgol ar gael a nifer y llwybrau o amgylch yr ysgol wedi’u cyfyngu, felly mae’n bwysig fod rhieni a gwarchodwyr yn cadw at y canlynol:

  • dim ond un rhiant neu oedolyn sydd angen dod ar dir yr ysgol efo plentyn wrth ollwng a chasglu.
  • nid yw rhieni a gwarchodwyr i barcio (na gollwng plant yn y bore) ym maes parcio yr ysgol, heblaw am ddalwyr bathodyn glas ac unrhyw un sydd wedi cael caniatad penodol (bydd diweddariad ar barcio / hebryngwr croesi a’r gwaith adeiladu yn dilyn nes ‘mlaen wythnos yma).
  • lle mae’n bosib, dylid gwneud pob ymdrech i gadw at ofynion ymbellau cymdeithasol o 2 fetr
  • dylid cadw at y llwybrau dynodedig, gan dalu sylw penodol ar ba gyfeiriad ar hyd llwybr y dylid ei gerdded. Rydym yn ymwybodol fod rhai yn cerdded y ffordd anghywir (yn y bore a’r prynhawn) i lawr y top y llwybr sy’n arwain at gornel yr ysgol lle mae plant yr Adran Iau yn cael eu gollwng yn y bore – ni ddylid gwneud hyn ar unrhyw gyfri’.

Mae’n bwysig hefyd fod pawb yn dilyn y canllawiau a gofynion Llywodraeth Cymru sydd yn berthnasol ar hyn o bryd a rydym wedi cael ein gofyn i dynnu eich sylw yn benodol at yr isod:

  • ni ddylai rhieni a gwarchodwyr ollwng a chasglu unrhyw blant eraill heblaw am eu plant eu hunain.
  • mewn perthynas a’r uchod, ac i gadw at y rheol am beidio cymysgu yng nghartrefi ei gilydd,  ni ddylai plant fod yn mynd i dai ei gilydd.

Mae’n parhau i fod yn gyfnod anodd a heriol i bawb ohonom a rydym yn gwerthfawrogi eich cydweithrediad wrth i ni geisio sicrhau fod pethau mor normal a phosib i’r plant. Rydym yn edrych ymlaen yn fawr i’w gweld nol yn yr ysgol yfory ar gyfer hanner tymor prysur arall!

We hope that everybody is keeping healthy, safe and have been able to enjoy the half term week. Below is some information as we prepare for the second half term of the year:

  • The school will reopen for everyone tomorrow, Monday, November the 2nd
  • As the building work is continuing and is likely to continue for most of the next half term, the dropping off and collecting arrangements will be the same as they were for the last half term. If there are any changes, we will let you know.

The building work is still making things difficult as regards the dropping off and collecting arrangements, especially with only one entrance / exit available for us and the restriction on the availability of some paths around the school. It is therefore important that parents and carers keep to the below:

  • only one parent or adult per child / siblings should be on school grounds when dropping off and collecting children
  • parents and carers aren’t to park (nor drop children off in the mornings) in the school car park, except for blue badge holders and any one that has specific permission from the school to park there (there will be an update on parking, a crossing patrol and the building work to follow later this week).
  • wherever possible, every effort should be made to keep to the required 2 metre social distancing requirements.
  • please keep to the designated paths, taking notice of which direction on the path you should walk. We are aware that there are some, in the mornings and afternoons, that walk the wrong way down the top part of the path that runs around the side of the car park and leads to the gate at the corner of the school where Years 3-6 are dropped off – please avoid doing this.

It’s also important that we all follow the current Welsh Government Guidelines and we have been asked to draw your attention in particular to the below:

  • parents and carers should only drop off and collect their own children
  • In relation to the above, and to keep to the rules around households not mixing, children should not be going to each others’ houses.

It continues to be a difficult and challenging period for all of us, and we appreciate your cooperation as we try to ensure that everything is as normal as possible for the children. We are very much looking forward to seeing the children back in school tomorrow for another busy half term!
